I have a Front wheel with a dynohub and one without. I want to be able to switch them without replacing the rim brake cable, but the Rims are different widths. Using the cable adjuster on the brake lever, I can just about get it to work, but the adjuster is almost completely unscrewed and the lever bottoms out on the handlebar without locking up the wheel.
Is there any way to do this, besides replacing one of the rims?

Since most of your braking comes from the front wheel, you will likely want to change one of the rims to get nearly even widths.
You could put in a "Travel Agent" to increase the cable travel for the same amount of pull, but I think that it wouldn't make sense with your existing brakes as it would decrease the amount of force applied to the rim for the same force applied to the brake lever.
