  1. The bike I currently ride (Basso Ascot 1990) has an Italian Threaded(36x24) Shimano 600 Ultegra Bottom Bracket. I want to change that to a new splined Bottom Bracket. What model should I ask for? Now I see the reference for Italian BB listed as 70x109.5mm. Which will fit my bike?

Italian BB's are denoted now by the 70 mm measurement whereas English are 68 mm.

The 109.5 is the version which is compatible with double cranksets while the 118 is the triple version.
