  1. I just went for a ride on my bike after fitting lots of new shiney things and the chain is slipping off the front chain rings a hell of alot, especially on the middle one.

The chain and rear cassette are both brand new, but the front rings are not. Also the chain is a wee bit too long so I'm going to shorten it, but would the length have caused the chain to slip off, or is it time for new front chain rings?

The chain is made by sram and the chain rings are shimano, but surely this shouldn't affect it, or am I being naive 😕

Any help before i start ripping the bike to bits and buying parts would be appreicated hehe 😄

  2. Your front chainrings may be shot. I had this happen last year i replaced the front rings and all was well.
