  1. What is the difference between various "specification levels" of chains?

    i.e. Shimano HG53, HG73, HG93? They all weigh the same, so I am guessing that it might be a durability or shift quality issue.

    That being said, high-spec chains are about double the cost of the lower end ones .. which makes me wonder, why not just use the low-end chains? Surely the higher end ones can't be that much better...
