    I know that bad bacteria and friendly bacteria change in accordance
    with their environment and don't have to be ingested as such. So all
    those friendly bacillus (or whatever) yoghurts are just a waste of
    money.

    OK now we know roughtly what enzymes are. I always was aware that
    amino acids are essential and that meat (and a few other protein foods
    like eggs, cheese?) has all of them, but some sources are deficient in
    some i.e., beans.
    Be that as it may, it would be nice if you could describe some
    deficiency symptoms and give an idea of how much enzymes a person
    needs. For example, do enzyme deficiencies exist in western society?
    Is more better?

  4. The general consensus on here is that enzymes are not absorbed (as they are
    too large a molecule to pass through the gut), which is a based on outdated
    medical dogma.
    Enzymes are essential are absorbed, but I've yet to come across a disease
    which is caused by lack of dietary enzymes.
    I'll let you know if I find one.
