This week: with spring finally here (in most of the country)
our thoughts turn to the outdoors and getting a little more
active, at least those of us who wait until spring to get
active. Many of us take advantage of urban pathways that
have been set aside for cyclists, inline skaters, runners or
people just out for a stroll. Some of those paths are
getting dangerously crowded -- so much so that some studies
are showing that cyclists would be safer taking their
chances with the cars and trucks on the road. There are no
standards for shared pathways in Canada -- despite a growing
number of accidents.
