Interesting about the batteries ... I used to work making custom "expedition" batteries for cold
climates. In fact, this week I'm going to the shop and putting together a battery pack for my Cat
Eye LED light. These batteries are very high output, very light, and disposable ... and work at
extreme cold temperatures. This same company made the batteries that powered the IMAX camera that
went to Mt Everest for the film. A 6v, 2 cell battery pack shouldn't be expensive.

distributor in Iceland ... these batteries are very popular in the cold climates.
I'm not trying to sell anything here BTW ... the company's main product is intended for film and
video production, and expeditions. However, it is a custom shop and although I can't speak for them
it shouldn't be any problem to make a battery back for a bike light. They regularly make batteries
for sat phones, laptops etc. Keep in mind the advantages to these batteries are they work incredibly
well at extreme cold temperatures, put out a lot of power and are very light weight.
When I make my battery pack, and do some testing on power draw etc., I will post the results here.
Does anyone know what the power draw is for a 5 LED Cat Eye light? I've tried to find out but
haven't had any success. I emailed the company but no response yet.
