Cateye LED light interfering with Cyclometer!

The led light probably has a PWM regulator circuit built in, and it
must be radiating when it switches. Try holding an AM radio near it
while it's on and I bet you'll hear all sorts of neat noises.

You can try shielding it, but I doubt it will help much. The computer
is about at the limit of its range just going from your wheel to the
handlebar. Space the light as far a possible from the computer to
give it a fighting chance. If that doesn't work I'd say you'd better
switch to a wired computer.

Or how about wrapping the cyclometer in foil?

I wrapped four layers of tin foil around the light, and attached it with a
couple rubber bands! It worked fine last night with no problems. Looks a
little hokey, but at least it works this way. Maybe I can find another piece
of aluminum sheeting that can snap on and off easily enough, to give access
to the batteries..
