Does anyone have any experience or views on these lights? MBUK gives them 5/5 - "Great lights for the rider on a budget". A mate of mine has absurdly priced similar lights (£250 mark) that lit up the road so much I was expecting aircraft to land in front of us. Is the fact that it's a "lead acid battery" particularly significant to a relative newbie? If it's just the weight, I'm not bothered.
It's unlikely that I'll be off-roading in the dark, but realise that my 2C cell front light doesn't quite cut it.

I have the 220 (one 10W spot, same battery). I'd deem singletrack you already know without any obstacles as perfectly doable with it, in pitch black. If I didn't know the path, I'd want more light. Not sure if the wide beam on the 230 will help with that much or if it'll just be washed out by the spot.
