I tore the cyclometer body from its enduro wire!

why sure. the cyclometer, the cateye enduro anyway, has two wires only
and no which doesn't...
a 25 watt iron with transistor solder, just touched to the twisted then
folded over and twisted wire solders immediately,
you may ask: do i need a longer wire? why sure you do.
and its easy! salvage an unusable stereo or computer. one of the
multiple wires package molded together in a flat band are sometimes
exactly the right gauge for the enduro wire.
tearing the cyclometer unit from the wire is more or less avoidable if
left unbolted
the unbolted-cardboard shim/electrical tape mount-
wrap the bar with thin "shirtbox" cardboard-not corrugated-to thickness
that will mount the bar equipment, then wrap with electrical tape
pulled tight, thumbnailing the sides down and onto the bar
surface(which you first cleaned with CHO)
the equipment mount then goes on the bar easily - and without the
stress that will finally gnash your teeth as the plastic splits open -
AND THEN SLIDES SIDEWAYS OVER THE LARGER DIAMETER CARDBOARD MOUNTSITE.
now, off course when you hook the thumb on the extra wire loop you
created when lengthening the cyclo/mag wire, chances are...
