I bought a set of Cateye ABS-25 rechargeable lights yesterday. An impulse buy in Condor - £80 versus normal £120, as old stock or something. I guess I should have done some Googling, but I had the notion of lights for the Dunwich dynamo.
Anyway, the plugs on the charger have four splines. The batteries have sockets with five slots for the splines, and I can't get them to engage fully.
If anyone has Cateye lights, could they please inspect the plugs/sockets closely and count the number of splines and report back? (By spline I mean a fin of plastic)

I have the ABS30s which have five splines. The charger is the CHR-3010 and is correct.
I will say that the first few times I charged the batteries they were a *very* tight fit.

I took the lights back to Condor today. They were helpful, and they reckon the connectors are OK and its just that the batteries were fully charged. Fair enough.
Not as embarrasing as they day I brought a Blackburn Airstick pump back, and the blocke behind the counter simply swapped the washer over to deal with Presta valves. But again being perfectly pleasant.
