The Sideways Bike is a childrens play bicycle with independent front and rear steering. Certainly not everybodys cup of tea; but still a bicycle.
The Sideways Bike was featured on a UK Invention Search program (Sky One, The Big Idea) on Saturday. The Bike progressed as far as the Wildcard Pool. Anybody can now vote online at

Why would I want to do that when, as far as I can see, it is no better than a standard bicycle.
The guy who invented it effectively says in one of the videos that it isn't better, it's just for fun.
It's a bit like the difference between snow skis and a snowboard. You can get down the hill faster and with more control on skis, but some people think it's more fun doing it with your feet tied together on a snowboard.
