  1. I just bought an 04 cervelo p2k. It certainly doesn't climb well at all...needless to say it is made for flat time trials. My ratios are obviously off. What cassette sizes do you recommend? Or is it better to get a new smaller front chainring?

    Thanks for any help.

What cassette are you running now? I couldn't find anything on cervelo's site that would give me a clue as to what it comes with stock. Being a Tri/TT bike I'd assume something geared (no pun intended) towards a flatter course. 12-25 or 12-27 might help you better if you're having problems with the hills. I'd leave the front alone unless you really need lower gears since it's much harder to change out the chainrings than it is to swap the cassettes.

    If you got a 130 or 135 BCD crank, your smallest chainring can be 38 or 39 respectively. If a 110, it's a 33.
