Cassette and New Chain??

Sounds like you are having the same problem that I am having. Chain skip in high gear when accelerating hard or climbing a hill. My bike is less than 6 months old with under 1000 miles. How certain are you that the problem is in the chain or cassette? That's what I was leaning toward on my bike.

If the casette was trashed because the chain was wore out, sure you needed a new casette.That assumes the RD is adjusted and you don't have a stiff link. Learn to measure a chain for wear and you will have fewer issues and likely throw away less money. The repair section at www.parktool.com is free and is the cure for lots of dopes.
