I once worked at a grocery store. I can't say I enjoyed working at the
place that much. Therefore, I would do everything possible to avoid
doing the work. However, when they would assign me on carts, I would
handle the job with ease and mind my own business. I would push ten to
fifteen carts at one time, the more I would push at one time made the
job a lot easier. However one snowy day I was assigned to work cash
register and I was told by the front end manager that the cart boy had
not shown up for work, therefore I was forced to take over his cart
pushing duties. At the time though I had come with no gloves nor hat to
wear figuring I was going to be inside my whole shift. So, I did as I
was told, and went outside and began to push the carts and bring them
back inside the grocery store. After doing this for about an hour or so
on a very snowy afternoon, I began to get fed up with the whole
situation. Therefore I took it upon myself to start making snowmen in
the parking lot. I figured that it should not be my fault that the cart
boy did not show up. I obviously was wrong with this assumption and I
know that. After building snowmen for about twenty minutes, the front
end manager came outside to check up on me, and once she had realized
what I was up to she ordered me inside. From here, she proceeded to
send me home and the grocery store suspended me, and I never showed up
again for another shift there. I obviously was wrong for my actions,
but in the heat of the moment I felt that my actions were not hurting
anyone, but obviously the front end manager thought differently.

That maybe this is a place for food and recipes, not work stories?
