  1. I went to see my doctor this morning about the hernia I've discussed before. He checked me out again and says i'ts very very small and that surgery isn't resorted to unless a hernia has actually popped out (movable) or worse than the one I have.
He says to report back if I have any real problems with it and then surgery would be an option.
This kind of leaves me in limbo. I find I can cycle O.K. with the hernia but weight-training tends to give me one or two warning signs.
I'm wondering if there are any exerciseS I can do to stop it getting worse.
Anyone on the forum like me who has a very small hernia and the medics feel surgery isn't appropriate?

  2. Just found the following:

"If your hernia is small and isn't bothering you, your doctor may recommend a watch-and-wait approach. But growing or painful hernias usually require surgical repair to relieve discomfort and prevent serious complications. There are two general types of hernia operations:"

The only thing that worries me is what if a hernia pops during training or something?
