I had a couple of PET scans several years ago and don't remember much of the
details - which is probably good, because if there were problems I would
remember. They use an IV to inject the stuff, I was annoyed because I had to
wait, they put you into some kind of big machine to take pictures, for some
reason I think they had planned in advance to give me insulin and I had to
check out if that was OK with my endocrinologist. In short, a very unmemorable
experience, though I don't recall the particular isotopes/chemicals used.
