    How about this one: I know a Dutch skating and cycling pro, who has a very nice Pinarello Marvel
    that he has equipped with a carbon seatpost. To mark how far the seatpost sticks out the frame, I
    saw him use a saw on his seatpost to make a 1" long cut in it, so he can always find the correct
    hight back.

    I told him this is not recommended, but he seems to be doing this for a few years.

    Isn't this a big risk?
