Carbon Seatpost

Any seat clamp that causes the seat tube to become oval-ish can crush a carbon
seatpost. Ideally it is a slide on clamp and you should reverse it. If it is an
integrated welded on clamp, you should be careful.

Thanks, Peter--that's what I suspected. Since it's an integrated
clamp, I will probably replace the carbon post with an aluminum one.

Thanks, Peter--that's what I suspected. Since it's an integrated
clamp, I will probably replace the carbon post with an aluminum one.

If you want to give away that beautiful Carbon post to anybody....kidding. Enjoy that new bike!
