Is this diet for stupid people? Or does the drain bramage come later
on after you go on it?
The new line of "carb-aware" products are out, and from the ones I
saw, there's no difference in the amount of carbs in the products,
they just state the amount of carbs in the product more clearly (in
big letters). But for some reason, they cost MORE!!!!!! I smell a
ripoff.

exercise and smarter eating hold the answer. Fad diets and fad foods all
has that allure, like the magic pill, will allow people to stay on the
couch to work the remote control. These people are laughing all the way to the bank. And if your a big
company like Nabisco. El Presidente Bush gives you a big tax break for
producing such [censored]. As Hannum not Barnum said "There's a sucker born
every minute."-DF

The original "Net Carb" totals were for the benefit of those (like
myself) who are diabetic or have other blood sugar issues (so we
wouldn't have to keep a library of reference books). Producers have been
allowed to subtract carbs from fiber and sugar alchohols because they
had a negligible effect on blood sugar levels. The "Carb Aware" total
simply includes the carbs from these sources. As you say in your post,
nothing really new has been added or subtracted. The Atkins Nazis are
behind this. It's simply a promotion effort to make this country more
"Atkins Aware". There is no health issue involved apart from the
economic health of the "Low Carb" promoters.Doug Freesepop said:

Oops! You are entirely correct on the SA's. I should not have grouped
them as I did with the fiber totals. Their effect on my blood sugar
levels, however, is greatly reduced compared to other sources. 🙂Ignoramus32597 said:

Wayne, whether sugar alcohols have an effect on blood sugar depends on
the person. In many, if not most people, SA's do have an effect just
like other carbs.Quoted message said:
As far as I am concerned, I do not buy any fake foods with a net carb
label.--
