1 cup butter or margarine, (Parkay) 2 cups brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup light corn syrup 1 teaspoon salt
2/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon vanilla 6 quarts popped popcorn
Melt butter. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup and salt. Bring to a boil stirring constantly. Boil
without stirring 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla. Pour over popcorn
and mix well. Turn into two large baking pans. Bake 1 hour at 250 degrees stirring every 15 minutes.

1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
2/4 cup light corn syrup
3/2 teaspoon salt 2 quarts popped, popcorn 1 cup peanuts -- Optional
4/2 teaspoon baking soda
Spray or butter a very large bowl that will fit in your microwave, set aside. Place sugar, butter,
syrup and salt in a 4 cup glass measuring container. Microwave on high (100%) until boiling, and
then for 2 minutes after that. Add 1/2 teaspoon soda. Stir until foamy. Put popcorn and nuts in
greased bowl, pour syrup over. Microwave on high 1 1/2 minutes, stir, repeat, then for 30 seconds
for the last time. Spread on a cookie sheet to cool.
