can't afford one--should I get the other?

Here's the situation: I want an EZ Sport LTD, but I just can't afford it
yet. In the meantime, I could get one of those CCM Epox 140's on sale--and
it's a good sale, too! (about 20% off retail). I could be riding it in the
meantime. But, should I take the plunge or should I just sigh and keep
saving for the one I want? I guess one of the problems is that I wonder if
there is a resale market (at all) for the Epox 140 when I finally get a
better recumbent. I know the shortcomings of the Epox 140--heavy, 24" rear
wheel, wierd little seat/back rest combo....

It is not a bad bike. We sell them at the shop. Resale market is not
big. Last year i modified one a little bit. The best mod i did was a
higher seat back. I had fun. Look on www.guybouchard.ca under bikes.

These kinds of detours never work very well for me. Finding yourself with an
inferior product is not a good substitute for buying right the first time.
The bike you list looks like it would be OK on flat bike trails but would be
woefully inadequate for any kind of hill climbing. My neighbor bought one
and he has never liked it. We could never hope to ride together even at
casual speeds.

Seems to me that what you would lose in the resale of this bike would more
than pay for the finance charge to buy the bike you want sooner than later,
if you wish.
