My Trek 520 Touring bike currently has a 175mm Shimano 105 Hollowtech triple crankset and I’d like to switch it out with a 170mm triple crankset. The only compatible 170mm triple crankset the local shop currently has in stock is a Cannondale Ex triple that is a couple of years old and was manufactured in Japan (according to the “Japan” that’s stamped into the crank arm). Has anyone had any experience with Cannondale cranks? Are they good? How does the Cannondale Ex compare to my Shimano 105? Thanks!
