    Does anyone have some information regarding Cannodale or Spcialized bikes. I am going to be riding 585 miles from SF to LA and I am looking for a road bike for beginners. I am looking to spend about 900-1000 on a bike. I have looked at Cannondale Synape and Specialized Sequioa. Anyone have some thoughts on these 2 bikes or should I look at other bikes.

    You need to test ride some bikes. Start hitting the LBS's around you and taking a spin on the bikes that twist your nipples. Then, buy the one that feels the best.
