I've got a Cannondale 2004 model 4000SL which has a carbon fibre left front fork and Shimano XTR disk brakes. I've just noticed, after 6 months of light usage, that the brake cable has started to create a gauge where it comes in contact with the carbon section of the fork. I'm concerned that it will continue to do so and after a period of time the robustness of the fork will have become compromised.
Before I contact Cannondale - has anyone else had a problem with that configuration?
