Canadian and Danish foreign ministers have averted a tense situation, that could have degenerated into a swift exchange of diplomatic notes over the fate of Hans Island, by agreeing to work together to try "to put this issue behind us."
Cases of Seagram's whisky and akvavit will be exchanged at Christmas as a gesture of goodwill :-)
