  1. A friend and i have found this bike in his old building and the owner said he was gonna throw it out. Its an old peugeot bike but thats pretty much all i know, the serial number is 1852924. Is this a good choice for someone who wants to ride long distances? Is it worth repairing and buying parts or should i buy a whole new bike altogether? any other info would be great.

after a little research i think it is a late 70's model, but im not sure.

  4. It looks to be a fairly low end bike. First of all, is it the right size for you? Second, a frame and parts cost more than a complete assembled bike. I don't think that the Peugot is worth trying to restore. It may be difficult finding certain parts because it most certainly has French threaded components. I think that it would be much more trouble than what it is worth. You would be better off buying a whole new bike.
