  1. What I am wondering is if the GF Tassajara can take 6' drops onto concrete without damaging the frame? I have already bent a crank arm and replaced them from doing 3' drops. I am 6' 220# and realize I am not very light so I am trying to decide if I need to upgrade to a better frame or with some component changes can I be alright.

    Thanks!

  2. this is the kind of bike that is 100% NOT, i repeat NOT made for that kind of riding.

#1) Your not a light guy
#2) The bike is NOT designed to be punished AT ALL.

Try upgrading your cranks for starters (SAINT cranks RULE!!), and then go with the Wheels. Wait until you bend/break your frame and then get something that is made for this style of riding.

PS: Fisher bikes are NEVER made to handle drops

  3. I wouldnt' wait until my frame "bends/breaks" to upgrade. If it breaks then...well...ouch. I rode an '03 Tassajara w/discs all last year and I grew uncomfortable with what the bike could handle and upgraded to a Heckler back in March. BTW, I'm 6'2" & 235.

  4. Well today I ordered a Kona Scrap and hopefully that will do the job :o)
