  1. Any opinions on Campy Veloce cassettes? My current wheelset is campy, and my drive train shimano (shifting is choppy). I was thinking of using a spacer kit with this cassette.

One of my bikes has a 9s Veloce cassette that works very well with 9s campy drivetrain. If you have a shimano splined freehub on your campy wheelset, the veloce cassette will not fit. If you are using a veloce cassette spaced to campy specs on a campy-splined freehub, then yes, you would do better with a shimano spaced cassette for the Shimano drivetrain.

If your set up previously worked but is now problematic, your issue may be chain and/or cassette wear or derailleur maladjustment.
