According to the Campagnolo website, Record triple crank has aluminium chainrings bolts and nuts
while Chorus does not. This would also explain why the Record crankset is 15 g lighter. Considering
the similar prices, I doubt there's any other real difference.

I went from a Record double crank to a Centaur triple crank. The rings are identical and believe it
or not the Centaur is a little bit lighter(745 vs.735g). You can't tell it's a Centaur crank until
you get close enough to read the label on the crank arms. The metal cranks of Record, Chorus and
Centaur are virtually the same. I never did like the crank arm bolt located on the Record crank arm
also, for me, the chainring bolts of Record would too easily snap off or split at the head (too lazy
to use a torque wrench). When converting to triple I also changed the BB to a 111mm Phil Wood and
the FD to a Record triple. Save yourself the $100+ by going Centaur and use the money saved to buy
the Campy Veloce 10 spd cassette. I'm very satisfied with my current triple setup.
