Campy shifter problem

I can't say what went wrong and I am not a bike mechainc. Looking on the
internet I found branford bike recommending to rebuild the lever every
10,000 miles to 15,000 miles. Look here for more info.

I pulled back the hood, and found a piece of broken spring under the
ratchet. Pulled it out, worked the shifter, and voila, ca marche. I
am amazed that it works even with a broken spring. Looks like it's
rebuild time.
