Could you learned gentlemen please tell me if Campy Chorus
levers will work well enough with older single pivot Shimano
105 brakes. I seem to remember Mr Brown once saying that
these were the best brakes on the planet,and they have
certainly served me well,but the levers are becoming a
little sloppy. Time for an upgrade both there and in the
shifting dept.

Agree, I've been using my Record 9 ergo shifters with my old
C-Record cobalto single pivot brakes for a few years now,
works well! (especially with Kool-Stop salmon pads!)
