Campy Front Shifter adjustment

It's normal. Campy front shifters are not really indexed. They are ratcheted, and several clicks may
be needed to shift. But just push further on the lever and you can do it all at once. The idea is to
allow trim adjustment.

It does. I have mine adjusted like yours. I would guess that the shifter could even accomodate a
quad crank, such as is available for tandems.

With Campy shifters, front or rear, you can shift several clicks at once. In the front, you get
used to how much to give to shift to the other ring. In the rear, each click is a cog. So, you
can very quickly shift 4-5 cogs in the rear if you need to. In the front, the clicks are there
for trim adjustment, but it makes it possible to use anyone's derailleur and any crank with that
same shifter.

You're right David, it can work on a quad front ring. I use it on my DaVinci tandem. Shifts
like a champ!

Campagnolo is really a ratcheting friction type shifter where each 'click' moves the front der an
increment. It is NOT positional ala shimano. So either push the lever farther, thru some number of
'clicks' or push one cliuck, center and then again, until the chain moves onto the next ring. Cage
must be close-ish to the chain in big cog/small ring and cable must be tight.
