I just took removed and lubricated the rear wheel hub bearings and
removed the freehub and lubricated the pawls on my Campagnolo 9
speed. I put it all back together and now when the rear wheel turns
there is enough resistance in the freehub to make the chain turn the
botom bracket and pedals. Does this sound like I didn't adjust
something correctly or maybe I used too thick a lubricant on the
freehub pawls? I used lower unit outboard marine oil but it got mixed
up with thicker bearing lube.

latter, you risk disengagement in cold weather, which can be serious.
