campy ergo levers

no, because the cable pull ratio is different from shimano to campy. But there is a great product that will let you do this, and IMO is easier than stupid spacers.

This is a great way to save money, since campy makes great shifters (that are cheap), and shimano makes other great components (mostly derailleurs) which are cheap. Then go to sram for their cassettes and chains, and you got one bulletproof setup! 🙄

You can use 9s Xenon (or any other campy 9s shifter) with 9s Shimano under these possibilities (in order of cost):

1. Use a Jtek shiftmate Model #3 (about $35 USD) on your Shimano rear derailleur which will allow the rear derailleur to move the correct amount with each lever click. This will allow perfect shifting with the campy shifter and Shimano drivetrain.

2. Get a campy rear derailleur and a set of spacers that allow spacing your shimano cassette to 9s campagnolo spacing (may only allow using 8 cogs though).

3. Get campy rear derailleur and Wheels Manufacturing conversion cassette to allow 9s campy on Shimano hub (does not fit all Shimano compatible freehubs)

Interestingly, a Campy 10S shifter and a Shimano 9s RD can be made to work pretty well with Shimano 9s cassette using the so-called Hubbub modification to the cable routing.
