I have an old steel frame that I've turned into a fixed gear. I wanted to replace the Look road
pedals with some cheap ATB pedals so I could use Mt bike shoes and walk a little easier when
commuting. The bike has a Campy NR crank circa 1984, pedal hole threads 9/16 x
20.I bought some cheap Nashbar ATB pedals, but the axle is too large, it seems. Can anyone help me
out here? Are there no new ATB pedals that will be compatable with that crank? Any ideas for
solutions? I don't want to spend a lot, but I just spent $65 having the frame repaired, then
another $50 for some Diadoras on sale and $20 for the pedals--which I'll return. (The BB axle,
also Campy, is a 70 SS and any other cranks would have to work with the Campy BB. Everything on
the driveshaft JUST fits with absolute minimal clearance). Thanks in advance for any help. John

hole thread chaser set-then the pedals will go in. Cranks from this period had 'odd' thread pitches,
but 9/16, and a chasing will fix them. had the same problem with some proFit pedals on a Super
