Campagnolo RD's 3rd screw setting

Sprockets, not spokes. It does the same job as Shimano's b-tension screw,
though you turn it in the other direction.

It doesn't much matter exactly how it's set as long as there is clearance
between derailleur and sprocket. But do the following to optimise
performance:

Put the chain in bottom gear (smallest front chainring + largest rear
sprocket), turn the screw clockwise until there is rubbing between upper
jockey wheel and sprocket when pedalling or back-pedalling. Then turn it
back it until OK. Test shifting perfomance in middle and high gears and
adjust the screw to taste, if you like. Finally, check bottom gear again.

it adjusts the distance betwen the upper pully and the cogs. It most
cases the defalut setting is sufficient

position has no negative impact, I'll leave it as such.
