There seems to be some problem with my Campagnolo (Look style) pedals or the cleats: I noticed that I can "wiggle" ("cant"😉 my shoe around the longitudinal axis. This happens with the black cleats. I'm wondering whether this is normal (I never noticed this in the many years before) or whether the cleats and the pedal don't "match" properly (anymore?). The pedals are now about 9 years old, but I ride only about 5000km per year. I tried different black cleats which I got with some new "Wellgo" pedals but observered the same behaviour. Any suggestion(s) what I should check next? TIA!
-- If you are too lazy to trim the amount of quoted mail then I might be too lazy to reply because it takes too much time to find the "content" of your mail. By not trimming your mail you indicate that your time is more important than the combined time of all recipients.

These aluminum body-ed pedals wear divots where the cleats contact them so they will have this canting you are seeing. Why pedals now have a steel pate there instead.
I've filled in the worn, low spots on the aluminum footbed of look pedals with epoxy putty. This material can be found at Wal Mart in the sporting goods / boating section and is marketed for boat hull repairs. It's like JB Weld but mroe clay-like in it's pre-cured form.
It's comes in a bar of putty about 4 inches long. Pinch off a bit and knead it to activate the hardener. Quickly press it onto the well cleaned low spots of the pedal foot bed. Allow to harden. File hardened putty so it's just barely higher than the pedal body.
Won't last forever, but is a cheap repair to keep a pair of pedals going for a while.
I use black cleats on my Look pedals 'cuz my knees don't mind 'em and I believe the lack of rotation slows such wear on the pedals.

It's normal. Most pedal/cleats are nowadays designed to "float". That is, there is some play in the twist of the cleat/pedal interface. This is to accommodate the twist that some riders have in the motion of their foot as they pedal.
