  1. Hi there,

I recently bought a pair of Campag Scirocco wheels. I have just fitted
them and after only 200kms I noticed a ticking sound from the front
    when braking.

Further examination shows that there is a fine crack right round the
rim. It is clearly where the rim is joined. The rear rim does not show
this at all. I'm 75Kgs so not to heavy or anything.

My problem is that I mail ordered from the UK (I'm in NZ) so returning
is a bit of a pain and expensive.

Could this be normal? I can live with the sound when braking but not if
this is a faulty rim and could fail on me.

    Thanks
    Pete

Get some emery paper and smooth the joint. Not uncommon.

  3. Thanks for that,

I haven't been her for a while but have trusted and valued your advice
in the past. I've been used to Mavic Open Pros where the join is not
    visible on the braking surface.

    Cheers
    Pete
