Campag Ergo shifters

Ergos are not adjustable. Different handlebars are bound to help a lot if
reaching the brakes from the drops is the problem. Non-anatomic or
classic drops (with full curves) provide shorter reach to levers than
modern anatomic drops (with diagonal straight bits). The 3T Morphe bar is
one exception and is particularly good for those with small hands,
especially in the narrower sizes.

Meantime, you could try moving the levers down the bars then tilting the
bars up more.

New-style Ergos are smaller, more comfortable, and work better, though
you'd still have the problem with reaching from the drops.

I don't have any suggestions other than to say I use 2004 model Ergos
without difficulty and I have exceptionally small hands for a man. Have
a look at a bike with new ones on and see if they fit your hands any
better; alternatively, consider whether different handlebars would
help.

1) check that the levers aren't stuck in the brakes-open position for
wheel removal: there shouldn't be a noticable gap between brakelever and
shiftlever
2) mounting the lever lower on the bend can help (lot's of work with
new bartape)
3) glue some rubber in the notch on the leverhousing where the leverstop
rests
