I know a Campagnolo 9 speed sprocket can be made to fit an 8sp Campagnolo freehub by filing the sprocket splines (because I've done it), but is this also true for the top sprocket (the smallest one)? Any problems with the lockring or anything else?
Why do I want to do this? ...I would like to use a 14t top (which I have spare from a 14-28 9sp cassette*) and Campag don't make 8sp 14t tops.
