Can anyone recommend any campag 10 speed compatible cassettes and chains that are perhaps cheaper than the campy ones themselves?

thanksYes, AG aggressor chains are excellent, and cost a good bit less. They also come with a very useful 'powerlink'.

Wipperman chain (I don't know the price ) is much better than Campa (stainless, no need for special tools, smooth function).
Mavic cassette works (Can be used to convert from Shimano boss), but Campa shifts slightly better. -
C-Record chain is no more spendy than the Wipperman. In fact, it might be less. Even my LBS sells the Campy for $40.
As for cassettes, no. Look for used ones on eBay. Besides, the 10sp Veloce cassette is pretty darn cheap (and not much heavier than the Chorus).

I'm using Mavic M10 cogs. works fine with my campy record 10 setup.
