data of energy expenditure from HR monitors should be taken with a pinch of salt, and not used to calculate how much food you need to eat per day. to work out a ball-park figure of energy expenditure you need a power meter to calculate the work done.

in the TT sessions, the majority of energy will be derived from carbohydrates, whilst in the endurance session it'll be a mixture of carbohydrates and fat.
however, it matters not at all, where the substrate that is oxidised comes from, all that matters is that you expend more energy than you consume. this causes weight (fat) loss.
additionally, each 1 lb / ~0.5 kg of fat contains ~ 3500 kcal. thus, to loose 1 lb/~0.5kg you need to expend 3500 kcal more than you consume. over a week, that would work out 500 kcal/day.
The 500 kcal, could be from eating 500 kcal less food per day, training some (than usual) or a mixture of the two.
