Ok, here's the deal. I'm 17 years old and an avid cyclist, but I feel so alone in my age group. It just seems that there aren't that many teenage girls interested in cycling. I want to know that I'm not alone out in the big wide world of cycling and that there are other kids who do this sport. Please post if you are under 20 years old and a cyclist, or if you know some young people who do cycling. Any and all replies would be much appreciated- and if you wish to contact me personally, my e-mail address is: [email hidden]. Just to prove I'm not some perv trying to trick people, my bike info is that I have a light blue Orbea Onix Dama with Shimano Ultegra and 105 components. I have been riding for five months, and my best pull was 29 down a flat by Lake Monroe, Sanford, Florida. I hope I'm not alone- I would really like to ride with some people my age!

Hello cyclechick7
I'm a highschool sophmore not a creeper so hear me out. 😄 Its nice to meet a fellow junior, but unlike you I have next to no expirience in the world of bikes and I just now figured out what you said and I would love to learn about this wonderful sport . Right now I have a cheap wal-mart mtb but it works for me at the level I am at. I really only started riding in the past month so I could get home from summer school (Im getting ahead). So my parents got me a mountain bike and now I ride it the 41/2 mile uphill ride home and love almost every minute of it, though i would love a lighter bike!lol
Incase you want to talk my e-mail is [email hidden] I trust you arent some middle-aged creeper 😉

yep, that was me a few years ago...I still don't know many girls ride road bikes seriously, granted i haven't raced yet and didn't make time for cycling in college (i seriously regret that). my advice would be to look for junior category rides or races--hopefully you'll meet fellow teens.
