Well a bit more than that actually. Just spent the last two weeks
around San Francisco and Los Angeles and managed to get my wife Sheena
to do some light hiking ! We did several trails around the Lake Tahoe
area, a couple of four to five milers around Mammoth Lakes including a
3 mile section of the Pacific Rim Trail. And ended up with a very
short hike across the sand dunes in Death Valley. Another short walk
along the Grand Canyon South Rim at sunset was spectacular to say the
least. ( also managed a hike up the strip at Vegas ! ) A bit tough
though to come back from 2 weeks of 100C plus Indian Summer to wind
and rain at Edinburgh Airport tonight. I hope to be reunited with
most of my luggage in the next few days as 3 went into the plane at La
but only 1 arrived at Edinburgh ;-(
