  1. Hello. I am a casual, suburban 5K runner. About 200 lbs. As of late I've had a fair bit of pain in
my knee resulting in a loss of ability to run.

I went for X-rays and this was the diagnosis. Can someone tell me what can be done for this
condition? My doctor says to to take anti-inflamation drugs.

"There is a few centimeter segment of calcification of the proximal patellar tendon, probably due to
    chronic calcific peritenonitis"

Help! Can I deal with this without surgery, etc?

Thanks for your help and advise...

How did your doctor answer this question?

I don't know if this will help your condition, but long chain omega 3 fatty acids (DHA & EPA) are
    known to reduce inflamation.
