WERELDBEKER WIELRENNEN Evans breekt sleutelbeen in Gold Race VALKENBURG (ANP) - De Australische
wielrenner Cadel Evans heeft zondag bij een val in de Amstel Gold Race zijn sleutelbeen gebroken.
Evans was betrokken bij een valpartij waarbij ook de Italiaan Balducci tegen het asfalt ging. Die
hield er slechts schaafwonden aan over. Evans is één van de troeven van Telekom voor de Ronde van
Frankrijk. Na zijn val nam hij nog enige tijd aan de wedstrijd deel alvorens af te stappen. In het
ziekenhuis van Maastricht werd daarna een breuk geconstateerd. Zijn deelname aan de Tour komt niet
in gevaar. Over een week hoopt de Australiër al weer te kunnen trainen. Evans, een voormalig
mountainbiker, brak al twee keer eerder zijn sleutelbeen.

Five to ten days, according to cyclingnews, and he can still ride rollers. It's the road he has
