Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
    -------- ------------ --------------------------------
    1/4 cup olive oil
    4 cloves garlic -- minced
    1 onion -- sliced
    3 teaspoons oregano
    1 cabbage -- coarsely chopped
    1 cup celery -- chopped
    3 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
2 potatoes -- peeled and diced
    4 cups chicken broth
1 16 oz. can butter beans -- drained
1 16 oz. can great northern beans -- drained
    1/2 cup elbow macaroni
    Romano cheese -- grated

In a large stock pot, over medium heat, saute onion and garlic in olive
oil until onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Add oregano and cabbage.
Cover pot and simmer until cabbage has been reduced by half. Add celery,
salt and pepper and simmer another 5 minutes. Add potatoes, simmer 5
minutes, stirring, so potatoes don't stick. Add broth.
Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer 10 minutes. Stir in
    beans.
Bring back to a boil and stir in macaroni. Reduce heat and simmer until
macaroni is done and potatoes are tender, about 20 minutes.
Ladle into bowls and sprinkle with Romano cheese before serving.
