I give up.

Just like at work, there a very few individuals screwing things up via
email.

Given my other experiences, I was wondering if most of these guys are
typically short, and have gone power mad with the ability to say things that
would have gotten the **** pounded out of them if they said it in person.

I'll check back every couple months or so to see if ARBR has recovered.

And then they pop back in to see if they were missed, and whine and snivel
when they find out that no one gives a ****.

This is a Usenet group, not a message board.

Other groups have survived the political flame wars of the 2004 US
elections, and returned to relative normalcy. The group will be whatever
people want to make of it.

I see no reason to make an announcement if I was planning on leaving,
nor would I expect anyone to care.

How long does the normal monkey pox last anyway?I thought the political stuff just wasn't all that big a deal. What is normal for this group?

Oh no, no, no Tom. You will most assuredly get a major Big Bye Bye. You
deserve nothing less. I mean come on. It will certainly bigger than
Brian's. More melodramatic too. Bigger even than Cletus' biggest one. It
will be an affair to remember. They will beg you to stay. There will be
tears of regret everywhere as you make your final exit.

Just don't screw it up by coming back too soon.

nget, the monkey pox has pretty quickly run its course in the past, but of
course they had Monkey Island to scurry back to back then. No telling now.
The current monkey poxing seems kinda labor intensive so who knows.

The 2004 political stuff did seem to take a back seat to the h*lm*t stuff.
Of course the he*m*t stuff almost always gets cross posted and that extends
the life of the thread seemingly forever.

I wonder if Brian Clark ever got another recumbent to replace the
"Tailwind from Hell"?

--
Tom Sherman - Earth

As I remember the Tailwind from Hell was a big to do about nothing. Wasn't
there some shipping screw-up where Brian had to drive 60 miles to make a
second trip to the airport to get the bike? Anyway he made a federal case
out of it, then the dealer copped an attitude, and the Tailwind from Hell
was took life. Basically it was two immature guys trying to do business
with each other. If either one of had possessed the even a smidgen of
maturity we would not have been entertained for weeks.

In the end I think Brian wanted to spend his money on a mt. bike & his
photography hobby. Funny guy though. I remember an ugly flame war
involving Beth where Brian was recruited to return and provide the newsgroup
with a liberal dose of his sarcasm to cut the tension and relax the troops.
Seemed to work as I recall.

Mr. Sherman has ever proven himself a coward. He will not defend this group
against assholes like Ed Gin. I will forever harbor a hatred toward him for
being a coward.

ARBR is hardly worth the powder to blow it up. Ed Gin has seen to that.

Nget, this has nothing to do with political stuff. It has to do with Ed Gin
posting under false names and in general behaving like a criminal. It should
be an object lesson to us all that a single ******* can destroy any
newsgroup. What are you going to do about it. That is the question.

Any time you want to leave this group you are more than welcome to leave as
far as I am concerned. Your wrong headed views on everything I can take, but
your cowardice in the face of Ed Gin I cannot take. The next time you post a
holier than thou bromide, I am going to go berserk.

Ed Dolan the Great - Minnesota

Just another regurgitated message from me obese Ed Dolan.
I wonder how long I can go on like this. No one is reading my ****
except Linseed Oil criminal JimmyMac and me.

Right you are Nget! Mr. Sherman has lost all credibility on this group. He
has acquiesced to Ed Gin, the worst kind of troll which can easily destroy a
newsgroup. Mr. Sherman does not give a damn about this group. He will not
defend it. He is beneath contempt. Screw him and all his discussion of tire
sizes. He does not know a mortal danger when it presents itself. He is truly
a blockhead and a coward.
