Thank you, South Lanarkshire Council. It would be nice to think this marks a belated start of
cycle-friendly policies. But I suspect there may have been pressure from motorists and bus
companies too. No matter, this is a HUGE improvement.
Oh what, doesn't this make a difference. Tell me about it. We've got a bit of road just outside
Chesham leading to Ricky that is a such a boneshaker it's positively bloody awful. Not too bad if
you're riding a 26" 2.5 infalted to about 40psi, save that, it's not a lot of fun. Mind you, just as
you come into town, you find the reverse - beautiful tarmac, and all of a sudden your avg speed
soars nicely :-)
Didn't I hear on the radio the other day that the roads are in their worse state for *** years?
Mainly due to every Tom [censored] and 'NTL-type' Harry, digging the damn things up!! Still, that's a
different story.
